Here's another one of my favorite Filipino desserts. It's called Crema de Fruta (which translates to "fruit cream")

Crema de Fruta

INGREDIENTS:

CRUST:
8pcs            M.Y. San Grahanms Honey
                   *dipped in fruit cocktail juice

FILLING:
2 1/2 tbsps   sugar
5 tbsps         cornstarch
1 1/4 cups    condensed milk
1 1/4 cups    water
2 pcs.           egg yolks (beaten slightly)
1 can            fruit cocktail, drained
                    * reserve some juice

GULAMAN:
1/2 bar          clear gulaman
1/2 tbsp         sugar
1/4 cup          water (cold)
1/4 cup          water (for boiling)

PROCEDURE:

1. DO FILLING. Mix sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan. In a bowl, combine condensed milk and water.
Gradually add milk mixture to the cornstarch mixture. Cook on low heat until thickened. turn off heat.
2. ADD. egg yolks to the thickened cornstarch-sugar mixture, beating vigorously to avoid cooking the eggs.
Return pan to low heat and cook for 2 minutes more. Cool.
3. ASSEMBLE. Arrange 4 M.Y. San Grahams (dipped in fruit cocktail syrup) on the bottom of a pan.
Spread half of the filling evenly on top of the crackers. Top with some fruit cocktail. Repeat Procedure.
4. BREAK gulaman bar in half and soak it in cold water to soften. Boil water, add the softened gulaman
mixture and the sugar. Boil until gulaman is completely dissolved. Pour gulaman on top of fruit cocktail.
    Chill and serve.

    • Eat at "Mei Xin Food 2", resto beside Burger King. Beef brisket noodle is good!!!
  • 03:30 pm - Take bus E11 from airport bus terminal to Macau Ferry Terminal. We travelled light so it wasn't much of a hassle carrying our baggage around.

    • Walk from Hostel to Senado Square
    • Photo-op at Ruins of St. Paul
    • Nearby Ruins of St. Paul ( Company of Jesus Square, St. Dominic's Church, Millstone, Macau Museum, Statue of St. Paul)
    • Breakfast at Senado Square. We were very hungry and the shops were still close so we just ordered from the sidewalk... Aiyo, we don't even know what we were eating. There were some sort of rice cakes with peanut sauce, round-sticky ball with minced meat inside, siomai and congee.
  • 09:30 am - Walk towards Wynn Hotel. We passed by Lisboa Hotel, the bay with Macau Tower behind and finally Wynn Hotel.

    • Walk straight inside Grand Century Place Mall towards "Prince Edward West".
    • When you reach the dead end "Royal Palace", open the glass door at your left.
    • Look for escalator to "Price Edward West".
    • Cross road to "Yuen Po Street". You will see a lot of flower shops because it is the "Flower Market"
    • Go uphill to Yuen Po St. Bird Garden
      • Flower Market -  One of Hong Kong's most colourful street markets. It is a jungle of exotic blossoms, luck-bringing house plants and sweet scents to be found in more than 50 shops. It's fun to walk around the market admiring the huge variety of flowers and plants for sale. You'll find this botanical treat on Flower Market Road*, Mong Kok.

        • Goldfish market - This market not only have cute goldfish but they also display exotic fish of every shape and color, dogs & cats and also reptiles (i.e. snakes, chameleon, turtles, etc) . They also sell aquariums, corals and aquatic ornaments. Head for Tung Choi Street North Section* in Mongkok.

      • 01:00 pm - It was raining hard. We ate at a small sidewalk resto hoping that the rain will stop. The resto specializes in beef noodles and allows customers to choose toppings to include in it. It costs HKD20 for one big bowl. Perfect for a rainy day! Yum!!!

      • 02:00 pm - lost in Mongkok and the downpour got even worse. So we went back to hotel instead. Ride MTR from Mongkok to Tsim Sha Tsui and rest first.
      • 4:00 pm - We can't stay in hotel forever just because it is raining. Time for tsim Sha Tsui Walk Tour.

      • 09:45 am - Reached Disneyland. This place is really for kids and the kids at heart :) We enjoyed the shows, photo shoots and rides despite the rain. Unfortunately we weren't able to catch the parade.

      • 08:00 pm - "Disney In The Stars". This fireworks show at Sleeping Beauty Castle shouldn't be missed when one goes here.

      • 09:00 pm - Take MTR back to Tsim Sha Tsui. Ate supper at Tsui Wah. We ordered "Spicy Shrimp Wanton with Vermicelli" and "Fresh Shrimp Roe Mini Wantons with Noodle in fish soup" . Nothing beats warm noodle soup when you are soaking wet because of the rain.
